Jim's is a long time staple for fine burgers and more.
When in the mood for a solid burger from the 60's and 70's the way burgers were meant to be, this place is a must. No disappointments whatsoever.
Additionally, they have transcended with the times catering to the Latin American community food types. Once again no disappointment.
Always clean and flavorful portions with a great price.
Even if it appears this place appears dated insofar as decor (are we really there for the decor? Or, the food we Love, reminding us of what flavor is really all about?), they always maintain quality food options.
Definitely recommend this place for a good old fashioned meal with plentiful options.
Thank you again guys, been real grateful for what you have put out in the past 20 years as a patron. I look forward to another 20 plus years of patronizing your awesome establishment.

Best mom and pop store in the neighborhood! Great prices that seriously you cannot beat. They make everything to order and tastes bomb with generous portions! I love their breakfast burritos especially

Best bang for your buck. Super cheap high quality food. Can easily feed two people for less than 20 bucks. Got a breakfast burrito with pastrami, breakfast burrito with sausage and a stack of pancakes for $15
It's cash only but there is a 711 next door that does cash back. There is also an ATM in the back of 711 but it charges $3.75. -

Extremely disappointed!!
I grow up in Virgil village so Jim's has been a part of my childhood favorite food spots. Today was disappointing be turned away I was told the cook had already cleaned the stove at 8pm. My kids and I won't be coming back. -

I missed the good ol hole-in-the-wall burger joints in LA that serves burgers, breakfast burritos and mexican food. Fortunately, Jim's provides all of these and more!
To start, there's plenty of parking. They have their own parking lot and there's street parking available.
I also noticed that the cook is the same, but it's now under a new owner. The two people that work the cash register are much friendlier than the previous owners.
Food: Today, I decided to tried the Pollo Asado and the Chicken Teriyaki. They were both cooked upon request and I got my food in about 5 mins. I recommend calling ahead so that you can just pay and pick up! The food is affordable and they give you a TON of food. I was only able to eat some of both and saved the rest for later. Both the Pollo Asado and Chicken Teriyaki were good! Can't get any better nearby.
Tip: Get the damn dinner roll. For some reason, that thing is straight fire LOL
